Process

iKantory was a comparison site service connecting regular users with currency exchange service owners. The business goal of the platform was to build its reputation as one source of truth regarding everything related to currencies. Apart from showing the most up-to-date currency rates and finding the best offers on the market, it was also a knowledge base portal.

While working on this assignment, I had the chance and freedom to create a custom design system using Atomic Design. I was responsible for the whole process, including low fidelity wireframes, brand design, user flows, high fidelity designs, and constant and close cooperation with backend and frontend development.

Study:

iKantory was targeted at both people wishing to find the best currency exchange deal on the market and currency exchange owners.

UX tools used:

  • Desk research
  • Competition research
  • Corridor tests

Design tools used:

  • Brand Design
  • Service Design
  • Web Design
  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator

Outcome

The company managed to deliver the Beta version product according to the initial goals and guidelines. Unfortunately, iKantory lost its angel investor and was discontinued.
